Als ich neulich meine kleine Kompaktkamera, die schon einige Jahre auf dem Buckel hat, repariert habe, fiel mir der darin steckende SD-Chip in die Hände. Darauf waren noch Bilder von einem Ausflug in einen Tierpark. Ein Bild hat es mir dabei besonders angetan - ein Affe. Ich nenne das Bild Sun Wukong oder Son Goku - wie man es lieber mag - die erste Variante ist chinesisch die zweite japanisch. Die Bedeutung lautet Affenkönig - eine traditionelle Figur aus dem Epos "die Reise gen Westen". Das passt insofern, als dass dies auch eines meiner nächsten Malprojekte wird. Leider hat der Affe die Autoscheibe ziemlich verschmiert - das sieht man aber erst auf den zweiten Blick.

A few days ago I repaired my old compact-camera. When I did so I found a SD-chip inside with pictures from a visit to a zoo. I like one of these pictures a lot - it shows a monkey. I called it sun wukong or son goku. First is chinese, second japanese - both mean monkey-king. The monkey-king is a traditional asian figure from the epic "journey to the west". This fits as this theme is one onf my next painting projects. Sadly the monkey touched the window of the car a lot - but you recognize this only at second sight.
